VITROLIS DC
Gob chute coating for container glass production
Advantages/Benefits
- Good thermal conductivity
- High temperature and wear resistance
- Good corrosion protection properties
- Good adhesion to metal
- Best economic efficiency
- Structural improvement of the surfaces
- Extension of the durability of the gob chutes
VITROLIS DC sets new standards for the important criteria coating technology, occupational physiology, and environmental friendlines.
Description
VITROLIS DC is a two-component gob chute lubricant to increase the sliding properties in container glass production, guaranteeing an optimum durability.
Application
Before application the gob chutes must be ground, cleaned and de-greased.
VITROLIS DC, component B (45g), has to be poured into VITROLIS DC, component A (300g), while stirring.
Contaminated materials can be cleaned with alcohol. Processing time for the mixed product is approx. 40 minutes.
Application using a brush
Apply the mixture thinly onto the surfaces, which have previously been thoroughly cleaned from rust, dirt, oil and grease residues, using a brush, which is not too stiff and does not loose its bristles.
Do not use before the end of the drying period of 24 hours, subject to the ambient temperature.
To optimise the coating result even more, drying at 80-120°C for 1-2h is recommended
Note
The shelf life of the single components is 12 months in closed original containers at room temperature.
