Pitch and Yaw Bearings

High loads, constant vibration and small movements make it difficult to lubricate bearings.

To solve this challenge FUCHS designed  a proprietary combination of reactive solids and incorporated it into the GLEITMO 585 K.  As reactive solids chemically bond to the surface of the pitch bearings it creates a solid layer.  This in combination with the oil from the grease provides wear protection on the surface of the bearings.

Understanding the difficult challenges of pitch and yaw bearings

To help understand why the pitch bearing application is such a difficult tribological challenge watch the video below.

GLEITMO 585 K: How it works

The SRV test is used to evaluate grease friction and wear properties in a variety of oscillating sliding contacts.

The videos below demonstrate how our product compares to competitor grease.

Competitor Grease Testing

Watch a competitor product running on the SRV test rig. Listen closely for the noise and watch for premature failure.

Watch FUCHS' GLEITMO  585 K running on SRV. You will notice very low noise and vibration with GLEITMO 585 K, which indicates low wear.

The Benefits of of GLEITMO 585 K

GLEITMO  585 K shows superior wear protection when compared to a competitor's wind grease. The pictures below are shown at 40 and 200 times magnification.
