The 14th Metalworking Summit Held in Sync with CCMT
To promote and draw upon the convergence of advanced metalworking technologies and Internet technologies, the 14th China International Metalworking Summit, with the theme of “Internet+Advanced Metalworking Technologies”, was held in Shanghai in sync with China CNC Machine Tool Fair (CCMT) on April 8, 2018.
Mr. Zeng Yongjun, Metalworking Product Manager at FUCHS Lubricants, was invited to the summit and delivered a keynote speech titled "Health and Safety in Using Metalworking Fluids." "As for cutting fluid users in the automobile industry, they are not only concerned about the fluid's machining performance but also its environmental performance," noted Mr. Zeng. "As global environmental regulations become increasingly stringent and the awareness of environmental protection keeps growing, a number of auto parts manufacturers have imposed restrictions on the chemicals used in cutting fluids, such as chlorine, boron and formaldehyde-releasing bactericides, in order to reduce cutting fluid hazards to operators and the environment. In addition, more and more multinational companies tend to apply the same cutting fluid in different countries to maintain global process consistency. This represents a higher requirement that one cutting fluid must meet the regulations, chemical restrictions and labeling requirements of different countries." With these considerations in mind, FUCHS Lubricants has provided users with application-driven analysis and guidance on health and safety hazards as well as solutions to solve these problems.
Besides, FUCHS ECOCOOL Global 20 cutting fluid was awarded with the MM Award innovation prize for the year of 2018 by MM MaschinenMarkt. The product not only meets the high performance requirements of the machine tool and metalworking industries, but also the legislation requirements of most industrialized countries. This cutting fluid offers a high-performance, safe, and eco-friendly solution that helps users enhance productivity, reduce production costs per workpiece and fulfill their commitment to health, safety, and the environment.
