FUCHS China Invited to The 5th China Transmission Advanced Manufacturing Technology Summit

The 5th China Transmission Advanced Manufacturing Technology Summit jointly organized by Automobil Industrie and GWM Transmission Research Institute concluded successfully on May 16, 2018 in Baoding, Hebei. Focusing on transmission and auto parts, participants discussed leading technologies and solutions such as high-precision and high-efficiency machining, monitoring and control, testing, production logistics, and smart manufacturing. Ideas on improving the quality of transmission products, increasing production efficiency, reducing production costs and raising the standards of intelligent processes were explored and shared among participants.

At the forum, Mr. Fan Xinchun (Manager of Application Engineering - Metal Processing) from FUCHS China shared the company’s research findings on how to increase productivity and decrease production costs. He pointed out that metalworking fluids make up 0.3% to 0.5% of production costs, but a cost-effective fluid can increase productivity by up to 10% and in turn cut the costs by up to 16%, which serves as a better way of reducing product costs. For the machining of transmission gears, FUCHS offers a wide range of water- and oil-based lubricants for various automotive applications—from rough and finish turning, milling, hobbing, shaping, shaving, grinding and honing, to cleaning, rust prevention and heat treating.
