2018 FUCHS China “Fuels Your Way” 2nd Service Skill Competition Concluded Successfully and the Shop Manager Training Officially Opens!

On November 29, 2018 FUCHS China “Fuels Your Way” 2nd Automobile Service Skills Competition Final was held in Shanghai where 18 groups of players selected from six cities, namely Changchun, Qingdao, Tangshan, Xiamen, Xi’an and Guangzhou, gathered to compete and flight for the champion.

In the morning of November 29, the fierce and intense Final officially began. The players showcased their talents in a "military-parade style" and competed against each other in 30 events including inspection, instrument testing and filter replacement.

Gao Xuemei, Sales VP Automotive Retail at FUCHS China, said during the Final that in 2017, the Competition was designed to discover extraordinary technicians at FUCHS and encourage technicians at repair shops to pursue craftsmanship. In 2018, the second edition of the Competition went one step further, as the preliminary contest was held in 6 cities with new on-site activities that added variety to the Competition.

On the same day that night, a salon chaired by Tan Dahui, mentor of entrepreneurs at the School of Automotive Studies, Tongji University and chief editor / founder of autoia.com.cn, was held at the “Fuels Your Way” cruise ship at Shiliupu Port. Hu Bin, an expert and former after-sales marketing director at Land Rover Jaguar, together with three shop managers analyzed the after-market trends and single-shop management, and had intense discussions on single-shop management issues and solutions.

After the salon, the top three Auto service technicians were announced at the banquet. The first prize went to Guo Delong and Zhang Yujie from Weihai Deao Auto Service, the second to Liu Haicheng and Liu Zhiqiang from Changchun Hongqiang Audi Repair Shop, and the third to Fan Quanying and Fan Quanbin from Tangshan Jie’aochi Repair Shop.
