“Riding the Trend”--2019 FUCHS China Annual Meeting Held Successfully
On January 18, 2019, “Riding the Trend”--2019 FUCHS China annual meeting was held in Shanghai. Stefan Fuchs, Chairman of the FUCHS Group, Dr. Timo Reister and Dr. Lutz Lindemann, members of the executive board, Klaus Hartig, EVP of East Asia, and Zhu Qingping, CEO of FUCHS China, attended this ceremony together with over 450 FUCHS China employees to look into the future plan.
The meeting started with a speech by Stefan Fuchs. He gave a thorough review of FUCH’s global performance, investment trend, overall strategic plan and cultural changes in 2018, and advocated FUCHS 2025 strategy for the first time in front of all Chinese employees. He compared the strategy to a new journey that he and all employees would start together, and called on everyone to be proactive and challenge themselves to achieve this goal.
Thereafter, Dr. Timo Reister gave a review and analysis of FUCHS China's financial performance in 2018. He endorsed the growth achieved under the complicated circumstances in 2018, and provided guidelines for development in 2019. He also hoped that in the course of implementing the 2025 strategy, all FUCHS employees would work towards the common goal: to build FUCHS into a well-aligned global organization and the world’s No. 1 lubricant company.
Zhu Qingping, CEO of FUCHS China, then gave a brief review of the key projects and sales performance in 2018, and thanked the executives for the positive comments about FUCHS China’s overall performance. FUCHS China 520 is a key part of FUCHS global 2025 strategy. FUCHS China currently has developed into a significant component of the Group, and the Chinese employees are more matured. Facing the internal and external challenges in 2019, we should take initiative to conduct self-analysis, enhance capabilities, meet challenges and strive for new achievements. Achieving 5:20 is not only for the company’s performance growth, but also an opportunity for organizational growth and development. FUCHS China employees should stay committed, unified, and adhered to its PATH culture in order to maintain its leading position in the Group.
In the afternoon, the colleagues visited the new Wujiang plant, which will be operational by April this year. It is currently the most advanced plant with the highest degree of automation in the Group, and will be an important part of FUCHS China’s growth.
At the dinner party, the executives of FUCHS China and FUCHS Global gave out Long Service Awards to employees who have served for 10, 20 and 30 years, in recognition of their tremendous contributions to FUCHS China .
