FUCHS China at the 2019 Chinese Electric Vehicle Innovative Technology Forum

On July 4th, 2019, the 2019 Chinese Electric Vehicle Innovative Technology was successfully held in Shanghai. The forum was sponsored by China Machine Media - Electric Age Magazine and Reed Exhibitions (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and supported by State Grid Energy Research Institution and Gear Technology Branch of China Automobile Engineering Society. The forum was held in conjunction with Shanghai International Automotive Manufacturing Technology & Material Show (AMTS). It attracted more than 120 business representatives and professional audience, who participated in the discussion through on-site interaction, questionnaires, etc. Focusing on the theme of "Clean Energy and High Efficiency Transmission", participants discussed the ways to realize coordinated development of electric vehicles and energy, analyzed the prospects of the electric vehicle industry, and shared the cutting-edge technology in the manufacturing of key parts.

FUCHS was invited to attend the forum as a leading manufacturer of metal working fluids in the industry. Mr. Zeng Yongjun, Product Manager at FUCHS China, delivered a speech on "Lubrication Scheme for Gear Box Processing of Electric Vehicles". In the speech, he analyzed the differences of oil demand between diesel locomotives and electric vehicles. Electric vehicles no longer need engine oil, refrigerant and some of the greases, but some new needs were generated as well, such as stamping of battery case, corrosion prevention, battery coolant and copper wire drawing fluid. He also analyzed the new requirements of electric vehicles for lubricants, such as the influence of conductivity and electromagnetic field on lubricants, and the influence of lubricants on energy saving and noise reduction. The speech focused on the discussion on the lubrication scheme of gearbox shell and gear processing.
