FUCHS' Eco-friendly Water-soluble Cutting Fluid "ECOCOOL GLOBAL 20" Won Best Practice Award
The "2019 Annual Meeting of the Manufacturing Committee of Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China)", with the theme of "Intelligent Manufacturing Empowers the Future", was held in Nanjing on September 26-27, 2019. More than 300 representatives from OEMs and parts suppliers across the country gathered at this meeting, sharing the latest technology and application achievements. Hosted by the Manufacturing Committee of SAEChina, the meeting was organized by Automobil Industrie (AI) Omnimedia Platform and co-organized by SAE-Jiangsu and the Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Mr. Hu Xinyi, Secretary General of the Manufacturing Committee of SAE-China and Chief Engineer of Scientific & Technological Engineering Department of Dongfeng Motor Corporation presided over the meeting. Chen Long, Vice Chairman of SAE-China, Mr. Feng Shaodong, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, and Mr. Wang Chengjiang, Deputy Secretary of Nanjing Municipal People's Government attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
In addition, the award ceremony for "Best Practice" in China's auto manufacturing industry sponsored by "Automobil Industrie" (AI) was held simultaneously. FUCHS ECOCOOL GLOBAL 20, an eco-friendly water-soluble cutting fluid, was awarded the "Best Practice Award for Auto Parts Manufacturing in China's Auto Manufacturing Industry" in the ceremony.
As for cutting fluid users in the automobile industry, they are not only concerned about the fluid's machining performance but also its environmental performance. As global environmental regulations become increasingly stringent and the awareness of environmental protection keeps growing, a number of auto parts customers have imposed restrictions on the chemicals used in cutting fluids, such as chlorine, boron and formaldehyde-releasing bactericides, in order to reduce cutting fluid hazards to operators and the environment. In addition, more and more multinational companies tend to apply the same cutting fluid in different countries to maintain global process consistency. This represents a higher requirement that one cutting fluid must meet all the regulations, chemical restrictions and labeling requirements of different countries. Based on the understanding of the challenges faced by users, FUCHS R&D team developed the new cutting fluid ECOCOOL GLOBAL 20 to help them address these challenges. Relying on its high-performance, safe and eco-friendly advantages as well as its compliance with laws and regulations of most industrialized countries, ECOCOOL GLOBAL 20 can also help customers increase productivity, reduce cost per workpiece and fulfill their commitment to health, safety and the environment.
