FUCHS China Goes into the West to Promote Manufacturing in West China
On November 21, 2019, the 6th Forum of Advanced Manufacturing Technology Going West was jointly held byMM Modern Manufacturing and Chongqing Die & Mould Industry Association in Chongqing River Holiday Hotel. The forum aims to promote the application of leading advanced manufacturing technology and solutions at home and abroad to drive the economic development of western China and to provide knowledge support for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry across the region. More than 100 people from various industries including automotive parts and mold in Chongqing and surrounding areas participated in the forum.
Mr. Zeng Yongjun, the Product Manager metal-working fluids from FUCHS China, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a speech on the efficient application of high-pressure cutting fluids in machining. During the speech, in addition to lubrication solutions, Manager Zeng also provided customers with a set of feasible and efficient processing solutions through the combination of equipment, cutting tools and cutting fluids. In machining, there are five typical lubrication and cooling methods including dry cutting, air/liquid nitrogen cooling, minimal quantity lubrication, pouring cooling and high-pressure cooling, among which pouring cooling is the most common. The lubrication cooling effect of pouring cooling is poor as chips may prevent cutting fluids from reaching the high-temperature core area of the blade tip. High-pressure high-precision cooling is a good solution, which can accurately transfer cutting fluids to the tip and ensure a stable tool life. Through actual processing cases, Manager Zeng shared the four benefits of high-pressure cooling in details with other guests: improving chip-breaking and chip-removing performance, extending tool life, increasing metal removal rate and improving production efficiency. After introducing the benefits of High-pressure cooling, Manager Zeng also explained the customer's question regarding how to implement high-pressure cooling in the workshop. Application of high-pressure cooling in the workshop requires proper use of equipment, tools and cutting fluids. Taking cutting fluids as an example, not all cutting fluids are suitable for high pressure conditions, and cutting fluids are required to have good foaming property and emulsion stability.
In the final round table discussion, Manager Zeng shared the application of other innovative solutions of FUCHS in manufacturing with guests with respect to lubrication.
