FUCHS Highlighted “Low-Carbon Products, Smart Services” at CIMT 2023
As the first of the world’s four major machine tool exhibitions after China’s COVID-19 policy adjustment, the 18th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT 2023), under the theme of “Embracing the Future with Collaborative Innovation in Digital & Intelligent Manufacturing”, presented a feast of intelligent manufacturing with a perfect combination of cutting-edge digital technologies and machine tool equipment.
Revolving around “Low-Carbon Products, Smart Services”, FUCHS highlighted lubrication solutions for the aerospace and auto component industries at the show, integrating its digital strategy with low-carbon services.
Lubrication solutions for the aerospace industry
For traditional metallic materials such as titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys and aluminum alloys, FUCHS launched the ECOCOOL GLOBAL 1000 worldwide and the ECOCOOL 7630 BFF tailored for Chinese customers. In response to the growing use of composite materials in aircraft structural components, the ECOCOOL GLOBAL S 240 was introduced. Free of boron and formaldehyde donor bactericides, these products minimize hazards to operators while meeting processing requirements.
Lubrication solutions for the auto component industry
This year, FUCHS introduced the next-generation of boron-free and formaldehyde-free ECOCOOL 2030 BFF for traditional auto components processing, which is suitable for engine blocks and cylinder heads made from cast iron and aluminum alloys, as well as other auto components. Also on display at the exhibition was the metal processing lubricant that generates little oil mist, a product in which FUCHS enjoys a competitive advantage. It is used primarily to process transmission gear and axles, effectively improving the workshop environment for customers, decreasing oil consumption, saving energy and cutting carbon emission.
For new energy vehicles, FUCHS presented its water-based stamping and deep drawing technology in place of traditional options to increase efficiency in battery case, airbag and body stamping and drawing, which significantly reduces the consumption of stamping oil in the production process, making cleaning easier and keeping VOC levels down, thus enabling low-carbon supply chain management and sustainability.

Digitalization is a key area that FUCHS China has been focusing on in recent years. Using digital tools to provide our customers with more valuable services, ensuring stable production in complex oil application conditions, is at the heart of FUCHS smart services.
The FluidsConnect system provides our manufacturing customers with day-to-day management, risk identification, trend analysis and real-time reporting, enabling production and maintenance personnel to quickly master the condition of lubricants on the shop floor and obtain data reports to make relevant decisions. For example, the parameters of lubricant use in different production lines can be optimized through the comparison of historical application data, thus reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
