Chairman & CEO Stefan Fuchs Visits China
Stefan Fuchs, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of FUCHS, was back in China for the first time in four years.
In addition to keep FUCHS China team updated on the latest developments in the Group, the busy and fulfilling five-day trip provided Mr. Fuchs with a deeper insight into China as an important market as he experienced first-hand the country’s radical transformation and the continued growth of FUCHS China.
August 21
CPC Wujiang District Committee and Wujiang District People’s Government
Wang Guorong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Wujiang District Committee, District Chief and Director of the Management Committee of the Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, met with Mr. Fuchs at the East Tai Lake Grand Hotel to exchange views and draw on each other’s experience and expertise on expanding pragmatic cooperation and achieving win-win results.
FUCHS will strive to become a global pacesetter by pooling greater efforts to build a smart manufacturing base in Wujiang and, with “in China and for China” as its guiding principle, contribute to the high-quality development of Wujiang while achieving its own growth, said Mr. Fuchs.

Suzhou plant
Mr. Fuchs learned a lot about the Suzhou plant as he toured the offices, production floor, automated warehouse, laboratory and staff cafeteria in the company of Mr. Zhu Qingping and his delegation, greeting each employee cordially and listening to what they had to say.
Mr. Fuchs spoke highly of the modern, intelligent, digital and visualized development of the Suzhou plant, showed great interest in the state-of-the-art equipment and system processes and expressed his appreciation for the positive business contributions made by the team.
Mr. Fuchs has high hopes for the future of the Suzhou plant and absolute trust in the Suzhou team as he has watched them forge ahead and overcome difficulties with confidence and perseverance.

Yingkou plant
Mr. Fuchs gained a deeper understanding of the Yingkou plant as he toured the offices, production floor, warehouse and laboratory and spoke to each department, expressing great admiration for the contributions the Yingkou plant has made over the years.
Mr. Zhu Qingping, Mrs. Cathy Wu and a team from the Yingkou plant gave Mr. Fuchs a tour of the production floor and the 3C grease factory currently under construction. During the visit, Chang Jianhui, Vice President of Plant Operations, and Huang Jingmei, Assistant Director of the Yingkou plant, briefed Mr. Fuchs on the state of the Suzhou and Yingkou plants. Mr. Fuchs expressed his gratitude for the hard work done by the FUCHS China team and his hope that everyone would continue to contribute to the development of FUCHS.
CPC Yingkou Municipal Committee and Yingkou Municipal People’s Government
Li Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Yingkou Municipal Committee, and Yao Huaming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yingkou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Yingkou, met with Mr. Fuchs for an in-depth exchange of views on deepening cooperation and jointly promoting development.
Mr. Fuchs expressed his appreciation to the Yingkou Municipal People’s Government for its long-standing support and assistance. FUCHS Lubricants (Yingkou) Ltd. has invested 190 million yuan in the existing plant to build a high-performance lubricants expansion project that, upon completion, will make Yingkou one of the three most advanced lubricants manufacturers within the FUCHS Group worldwide. Meanwhile, Mr. Fuchs signaled his willingness to deepen pragmatic cooperation with Yingkou government by extending beyond the existing industries into other segments such as new energy, thereby making a greater contribution to Yingkou’s economic and social development.

Yingkou plant
Mr. Fuchs presented awards to employees for their outstanding contributions to quality and safety at the Yingkou plant and encouraged them to continue to serve as role models.
Meanwhile, Yingkou Municipal People’s Government named Mr. Fuchs an “Outstanding Entrepreneur of a Foreign-Invested Enterprise”.
Nanxiang Honorary Citizen Award
Mr. Fuchs was declared an “Honorary Citizen of Nanxiang” by Chen Jie, Secretary of the CPC Town Committee, at a ceremony in Nanxiang.
Mr. Fuchs said that FUCHS will continue to be deeply rooted in Nanxiang, develop and grow and work together with Nanxiang to make unremitting efforts to promote high-value industrial development and make further accomplishment.

Shanghai Headquarters
With Mr. Fuchs’ visit as a perfect opportunity, a townhall meeting themed "Dialogue with Management" was held on the fifth floor of the Shanghai Headquarters as a way for employees from various departments to engage in a direct conversation with the Group CEO.
Before the dialogue began, Mr. Fuchs shared with colleagues the latest news about the FUCHS Group, its overall business conditions and strategic orientation.
Representatives from each department then sought Mr. Fuchs’ advice and insights on key strategic issues such as segmentation, localization and digitalization, as well as pain points and difficulties in their day-to-day work. The conversation was inspiring and fruitful.
The meeting concluded with Mr. Fuchs and all participants making FUCHS MOVE “KNOT” gesture, which symbolizes the close bond between the Group and FUCHS China. With professionalism, reliability and mutual trust, we will work together to drive the development and growth of FUCHS and continue to create outstanding achievements.
