FUCHS China Participates in Electric Drive and Transmission Manufacturing Forum to Discuss Future Power Solutions
On June 6, 2024 Automotive Electric Drive System and Transmission Advanced Manufacturing Technology Forum convened in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China. This forum was jointly organized by the Gear Technology Division of the China Society of Automotive Engineers (China-SAE), the Machinery Industry Information Research Institute, the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering of Jiangsu University, the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines (CSICE) in Jiangsu, among others.
With the theme "High Quality·High Efficiency·Digitalization·Intelligence", the forum attracted nearly 150 participants from companies, suppliers, and universities associated with the automotive parts industry. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on the current development trends and key technical issues in the electric vehicle industry.
Electric vehicles (EVs) are receiving increasing attention as the automotive industry transitions towards electrification. However, significant differences exist between traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and EVs, one of which is the evolving demand for lubricants. FUCHS has responded to this challenge with innovative solutions, injecting new vitality into the future of automotive power.
Zeng Yongjun, FUCHS China Senior Manager, delivered a presentation titled "Supporting Future Power: FUCHS Lubrication Solutions for EV Component Manufacturing", in which he discussed the differences in lubrication requirements between ICE vehicles and EVs and highlighted FUCHS low-carbon solutions, which are specifically tailored for EV manufacturing:
- Developing green, low-carbon products to reduce carbon emissions, improve efficiency, and extend the lifespan of equipment, tools, molds, etc.
- Innovating carbon reduction applications by optimizing fluid management to potentially reduce or even eliminate the use of lubricants in certain processes
- Utilizing green, low-carbon packaging, such as reusable IBCs and liquid bag packaging, to reduce waste emissions
From transmission and motor housing to gear processing and the stamping of seat, airbag, and battery cases, FUCHS innovative technologies offer electric vehicle manufacturers environmentally friendly and efficient lubrication solutions, helping to drive the automotive industry towards a more sustainable future.
The successful hosting of this forum not only provided a platform for industry experts and scholars to share insights, but also served as a bridge for cooperation and mutual benefit among various companies. FUCHS China will continue to adhere to its development philosophy of "Innovation, Green, Win-Win", working closely with partners to contribute to the advancement of the EV industry.
