FUCHS China CTO Receives the Title of Industry Professor by Suzhou University of Science and Technology

On July 17, the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Suzhou University of Science and Technology honored Kris Van Gasse, CTO of FUCHS China, with the esteemed title of Industry Professor.

This accolade highlights the groundbreaking collaboration between FUCHS China and Suzhou University of Science and Technology in terminating lithium-ion battery fires. This partnership exemplifies the power of synergy between academia and industry, bringing together the strengths and resources of both sides to address this technological challenge.

 

As the world transitions towards a more electrified future, the safety concerns surrounding lithium batteries have become increasingly prominent. Among the key challenges is the prevention and termination of lithium-ion battery fires.

On June 27, 2024, FUCHS China officially unveiled its FUCHS BluEV Fire Shield battery safety solution at the 22th Battery Series: China International Battery Pack Housing and Battery Structure Innovation and Development Forum. This product exemplifies FUCHS China's strong technological expertise and marks a significant achievement in its mission to spearhead technological innovation. This new solution unlocks fresh opportunities for sectors like emerging transportation and energy storage, propelling the battery industry towards a brighter future.

Professor Guo Chunxian, Executive Vice-Director of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Suzhou University of Science and Technology, expressed strong recognition for  FUCHS' leading position and technological capabilities in the industry.
