Cleaners for slip rings


Main challenges:

  • Removal of condutive carbon dust from generator slip ring unit

  • Removal of PFPE oil-based pollution from pitch slip ring

Main characteristics to solve the challenge:

  • Avoidance of electrical flashover with high risk of damaged parts or inworst case fire (especially on bolt insulators)
  • Safeguarding energy efficiency due to reduction of current leak 

Cleaner solution:

Main properties: Residue-free rapid evaporation, able to remove PFPE-based oil, no attack on the patina or carbon brushes
 

Metal surface degreaser


Main challenges:

  • Removal of escaped grease and oil from metallic surfaces

  • Cleaning the metal surfaces of brake discs
     

Main characteristics to solve the challenge:

  • Efficient in degreasing properties required for e.g. visual surface control, measurements and technical function (seals)
  • Clean environment in general for safe working conditions

  • Various contaminations settle on the surface during operation

  • To prevent flashovers and ensure functionality, frequently cleaning of transformer necessary
