Information about cookies

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that we send to and store on your device when you visit our website. Certain functions on our website cannot be provided without the use of technically mandatory cookies. Other cookies, however, enable us to perform a range of analyses. Cookies can, for example, recognize the browser you are using when you visit our website again and transfer various items of information to us. Among other things, cookies enable us to make our website more user-friendly and effective for you, for example by tracking your use of our website and determining your preferred settings (e.g. country and language settings). If third parties process information via cookies, they collect this information directly via your browser. Cookies do not harm your device. They cannot execute any programs and do not contain viruses.

First-party cookies

First-party cookies are set by us, FUCHS LUBRICANTES, S.A.U.

Third-party cookies

Third-party cookies are text-based data records stored in your browser (on your device) when you visit a website. They are used not by the operator of the website itself, but by a third party. Unlike first-party cookies, they can be read by the third-party cookie provider. Third-party cookies allow the number of page views, the duration of a website visit or the pages viewed to be determined.

Legal basis for the use of cookies

The legal basis for the processing of technically mandatory cookies is our legitimate interest in the processing of personal data pursuant to Article 6(1f) of the GDPR. Personal data will be deleted if it is no longer necessary for this purpose, especially if cookies are disabled. We require your consent to use non-mandatory cookies and third-party cookies. If you give us your consent to the use of cookies on the basis of a notice (“cookie banner”) provided by us on the website, the legality of use is additionally governed by Article 6(1a) of the GDPR. As soon as the data transmitted to us via the cookies is no longer required for the purposes described above, it is deleted. Any further storage may occur only in individual cases if provided for by law.

Configuring your browser settings

You can manage the cookie settings using the settings described below or by configuring your browser settings. Most browsers are set by default to accept cookies, but you can change your settings to block some or, if you prefer, all cookies. Via your browser settings, you can also delete cookies already stored in your browser or view the storage duration. You can also set your browser so that you are notified before cookies are stored. Since the different browsers can differ in terms of the functions they offer, refer to your browser’s help menu for the configuration options. If you want a comprehensive overview of all instances of third-party access to your Web browser, we recommend that you install specially developed plug-ins.

Declining cookies

If you decline cookies for which we require your consent, this setting will be applied for the future. Note that if you disable cookies through your browser settings or directly on our website, you may no longer be able to use all the features and functions available on our website. If you want to delete third-party cookies, you can do this for your previous sessions only via your browser settings.

Mandatory cookies ensure that the website functions properly.

The section below provides some information about third-party providers who may set cookies.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files that are stored on your computer and enable analysis of your website usage. The information generated by cookies about your usage of this website is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.

If IP anonymization is enabled on a website, your IP address is truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other EEA member states. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymization is enabled on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to evaluate your usage of the website, compile reports about website activities and provide additional services to the website operator relating to the use of the website and Internet use. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Section 15(3) of the German Telemedia Act and Article 6(1f) of the GDPR. The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs is automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period is reached is automatically deleted once a month.

The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

You can refuse the use of cookies using the settings above or by making the appropriate settings in your browser software; if you do this, however, you may not be able to make full use of this website.

For more information about how Google uses data for promotional purposes, see the following Google websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/ (“How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”); https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“How Google uses cookies in advertising”); and https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ (“Ad personalization”).

INTEGRATION OF YOUTUBE

To embed videos, FUCHS GROUP uses YouTube, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“YouTube”). The videos were embedded in extended data protection mode. Like most websites, however, YouTube also uses cookies to collect information about its website visitors. YouTube uses this to record video statistics, prevent fraud and improve user-friendliness. This also results in a connection being established with the Google DoubleClick network. When you play a video, this could trigger further data processing operations. We have no influence over this.

For information about why and how YouTube (Google) processes your personal data as well as your rights and options for protecting your privacy, see https://policies.google.com/privacy.
