FUCHS LUBRICANTES joins Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs

Fuchs Lubricants joins Empowering Women’s Talent and Diversity Leading Company for their commitment to female talent, diversity and inclusion.

Empowering Women’s Talent is a powerful talent development program focused on the empowerment of women, which will help companies learn, share, communicate and inspire about gender diversity. For its membership, FUCHS Lubricantes receives the seal of recognition as a Member Company of the Empowering Women's Talent program, committed to the development of female leadership and talent. In addition, it joins the Diversity Leading Company program that will contribute to improving the management of diversity and inclusion within its teams.

Diversity and inclusion, as well as the development of female talent, continue to move forward in Spanish companies, although, according to several studies, at this rate, there are still 100 years left to eliminate the global gender gap in business organizations. For this reason, Equipos&Talento, take advantage of their Know-how and have developed a program that inspires, teaches and is a reference in the recognition of women's empowerment, thus allowing us to accelerate gender equality. And another broader program dedicated to managing, developing and advancing diversity and inclusion in organizations.

To prepare the Equality Plan we have worked hand to hand with a specialized external consultancy that analyzed 8 areas of the company, from Culture and organizational management, promotion and professional development to work time and co-responsibility, among others. Based on the report that points out the areas for improvement, we have developed an action plan that allows the company to evolve to a more egalitarian model that promotes female empowerment and helps with diversity management," says Dolores Garrote, Equality agent at FUCHS LUBRICANTES, S.A.U.

Years ago, FUCHS Lubricantes promoted several initiatives to recruit female talent within the industrial sector and mentor unemployed women to improve their employability in the industry. And among the projects that have been launched recently, the following stand out:

  • Creation of the figure of Equality Agent in our workforce
  • Practical training in the use of inclusive language and publication of an internal guide that includes recommendations
  • Training for Managers so that gender bias does not influence the selection of candidates for jobs or promotions
  • General internal training on sexual harassment prevention
  • Internal publication of a compilation of paid and unpaid leave aimed at facilitating conciliation

“In 2024 our main objectives are: to continue with training and internal actions on gender awareness; provide support to staff with their family conciliation needs and monitor KPIs set in the Equality Plan to assess their progress,” adds Dolores Garrote, Equality agent at FUCHS LUBRICANTES, S.A.U.
