Challenge
Pitch and yaw bearings in wind turbines have, in certain cases, pinion-ring drive mechanisms that allow their displacement and orientation. The teeth that make up the open gears are subject to extremely high loads, vibrations and high-frequency movements in the event of individual blade control. The combination of these extreme conditions, and a typical 6-month relubrication cycle, creates a complex lubrication challenge for this mechanical part.
High load and slippage on the surface of gear teeth can cause issues, as grease can be forced from the lubricated surfaces shortly after relubrication as a result of the high load, leaving solid particles and potentially causing high wear on the flanks of the gear teeth.

CEPLATTYN 300 Spray offers an innovative solution thanks to its ease of application in aerosol form. In addition, its high adhesion on the tooth flanks of the gears that make up the pitch and yaw pinion-ring drives forms a high-strength lubricant film that allows for greater lubrication and resistance to wear compared to other lubricants typically used for such an application.
Once applied, CEPLATTYN 300 SPRAY repels dust and shows good water washout properties, protecting against wear and corrosion.
