Important Notes:
† Severe Duty – All retarder transmissions and transmissions with duty cycles with more than one stop per mile.
On/Off Highway, Refuse, City bus, Shuttle bus, 2000MH.
General Duty – All non-retarder transmissions with duty cycles with less than one stop per mile.
General truck, fire & emergency, intercity coaches.
† † 3000 & 4000 transmission families include models with a “T” or “B” prefix. Eg. T280R or B300.
- C4 engine oils are no longer approved or recommended for use in on-highway transmissions.
- Allison High Capacity filters considerably extend drain intervals when used in conjunction with an approved TES-295 Fluid.
High Capacity filters have replaced gold series filters and are backwards compatible. - Allison High capacity filters are factory installed into newer transmissions with serial numbers starting from S/N 6510670912 or 6520067342 for 3000 series & 6610205144 or 6620002521 for 4000 series.
- Allison High capacity filters have “High Capacity Service Filter” printed on the filter base cap.
- The use of a TES-295 approved fluid is a requirement for Allison Extended Coverage (ETC) in all applications.
- The use of a TES-295 approved fluid is a requirement for the 2000 series transmission in city bus applications.
- Incorrect service intervals, use of unapproved fluid types or the use of non genuine service parts may invalidate any potential warranty claim.
