Service Fluids
Service fluids from FUCHS complete the automotive full range for all vehicles. The right brake fluid, a suitable coolant diluted at the right concentration or in some cases fuel additives are indispensable for every vehicle.
Coolants
Only about a third of the energy stored in the fuel is made available as drive power. The remaining energy is released into the environment unused, in the form of heat. Of this remaining energy, around half takes the form of exhaust gases, while the other half is temporarily stored in the engine and its components (cylinder liners, cylinder head, etc.). As the engine and its components can only release this comparatively high quantity of heat into the environment very slowly, additional heat dissipation in the form of engine cooling is an absolute necessity in order to prevent damage to the engine through overheating.
Without proper coolant, the cooling system provides ideal conditions for corrosion thanks to its high temperatures and large volume of water. Deep rust spots/pitting can occur in the metal, potentially causing the coolant pump or the entire cooling system to fail. This can ultimately lead to extremely costly engine damage.

FUCHS recommends FRICOFIN products.
Brake Fluids
Brake fluids are special hydraulic fluids used to transfer the pedal force to the wheel brake cylinder during braking. The demands on these important fluids are high:
- A high boiling point that ensures a safety performance even in extreme conditions such as extremely high temperatures.
- The brake fluid must have a very low compressibility in order to transfer the pressure from the master cylinder to the wheel brakes effectively.
- Optimal corrosion protection of the system.
- Compatibility with all brake system materials, such as plastics, rubber or metals.
Hygroscopic brake fluids are the most used in vehicles. For this reason, the drain interval for brake fluids must be respected and should be of approximately two years. This range is chosen considering that the corrosion inhibitors are consumed during the operation of the fluid and that the water that absorbs the liquid lowers the ERBP boiling point.

FUCHS recommends TITAN DOT products.
Oil binder
TITAN ABSORPEX provides reliable protection against environmental damage caused by oil spills on traffic areas or leaks on solid surfaces (for indoor and outdoor use). It also offers good slip resistance even at full saturation and penetrates through the fine grain in the smallest cracks and depressions.
In addition to premium engine oils and gear oils, FUCHS creates the highest level of safety and maximum performance for a smooth operation of every vehicle with a high-quality full range of automotive service products. Special requirements for each vehicle type are covered by original manufacturer approvals with our TITAN products.

Types of Brake Fluids
HYGROSCOPIC: they absorb moisture from the atmosphere at normal humidity levels - Glycol Ether (DOT 3, 4, and 5.1) are hygroscopic.
HYDROPHOBIC: they can maintain an acceptable boiling point throughout the useful life of the liquid - Silicone / DOT 5 based formulations and mineral oils are hydrophobic.
