MQL spray-applied fluids
Minimal Quantity Lubrication (MQL) is the application of very small quantities of lubricant right at the friction points between the tool and the workpiece. These are metal machining processes that involve replacing the neat cutting oil by a spray that applies a minimum amount of the product.
Product | Description |
Application by spraying. Particularly Suitable for non-ferrous metals. Available in 5-litre containers.
Sawing and machining operations of all types of metals. Suitable for both 1-channel and 2- channel application systems
Spray cutting of aluminium blocks or profiles that are subsequently subjected to a drying process.
Particularly suitable for sawing aluminium parts. Minimal surface film on the part and the swarf remains virtually dry.
Application by spraying. Particularly suitable for steels. |
Advantages over conventional lubrication:
- Increased productivity, reducing machining time by 20 to 70%.
- Virtually dry process, with no drag-out loss as the lubricant is sprayed exactly where it is needed.
- The swarf comes out dry and can be recycled without further processing.
- No filtering equipment or agents are required.
- Greater protection of people and the environment,
- without producing any kind of waste.
- Biodegradable.
