Milestones of FUCHS' sustainability

Since 2010, FUCHS has been systematically pursuing its strategy for greater sustainability. And since 2011, the company has been reporting on the progress made in different areas in its annual sustainability report. This illustrates FUCHS’ commitment to assuming ecological, economic and social responsibility, documenting key figures and objectives and defining measures with which the company controls its sustainability activities. Since 2017, FUCHS has also published a non-financial statement that meets the requirements of the CSR Directive Implementation Act (CSR-RUG).

2010	FUCHS signs the “Code of Responsible Conduct for Business” and voluntarily commits itself to fair competition, social partnership, the principle of efficiency and sustainability
2011	The role of Chief Sustainability Officer is created
2012	A Local Sustainability Officer is appointed in each production country
2013	The principles for sustainable and socially responsible business within the FUCHS Group are outlined and published in a comprehensive sustainability guideline
2014	FUCHS signs the “Responsible Care Global Charter” newly created by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA)
2015	The sustainability function becomes an independent central division under the responsibility of the Chief Technology Officer
2016	FUCHS is awarded the German Sustainability Prize as the most sustainable medium-sized company
2017	The FUCHS production site in Mannheim receives an award from the “Alliance for Resource Efficiency” for its far-reaching energy and CO2 reduction measures
2018	Official commitment to support the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations
2019	A sustainability task force is founded in the Union of the European Lubricants’ Industry (UEIL), which, under the chairmanship of FUCHS, meets with international industrial companies four times a year in Brussels
