TITAN GEAR HYP SAE 90

High Performance Gear Oil for highly-stressed differentials in commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

Description

TITAN GEAR HYP SAE 90 is a mineral gear oil for axle and hypoid transmissions calling for API GL-5- performance. The formulation has proven its performance with many OEMs.

Application

TITAN GEAR HYP 90 can be used as rationalization brand in applications where gear oils APIGL3/GL4/GL5 in SAE class 90 are specified. TITAN GEAR HYP fulfills the requirements of a gear oil according to SAE J 306. Even at very low outside temperatures, TITAN GEAR HYP offers the fastest possible complete lubrication during start off, outstanding gear efficiency and lowest power losses. TITAN GEAR HYP SAE 90 is miscible and compatible with conventional branded gear oils. However, mixing with other gear oils should be avoided in order to fully utilize the product’s benefits. A complete oil change is recommended when converting to TITAN GEAR HYP SAE 90. For information on product safety and proper disposal please refer to the latest Material Safety Data Sheet. Note: TITAN GEAR HYP SAE 90 is not recommended for synchromesh gearbox applications.

Advantages/Benefits

  • Multi-purpose suitability both for running-in and long-term applications
  • Very good load-bearing capacity, even with high long-term stresses and resulting high oil temperatures
  • Excellent cold-flow properties; because of this no lack of lubrication when starting off
  • Compatible with many gasket materials and other elastomers.
  • Prevents from corrosion with many metals normally used in gearbox manufacturing
  • Effective foam control even at high engine speeds and oil temperatures
