FUCHS opens a new production plant for polyurea lubricating greases

The FUCHS Group has invested EUR 25 million in a fully automated plant to produce polyurea greases in an area of 2,000 m2 within the Kaiserslautern site. It is a plant with state-of-the-art technology and with the highest standards in terms of safety, energy efficient use and environmental protection. This plant is certified with IATF 16949. 

This production plant is one of the projects of the initiative launched in 2016, which is focused on increasing production capacity with the most advanced technology. It will allow the FUCHS Group to increase its production of polyurea greases significantly, which also will allow to respond quickly to customer requirements by providing specific and customized solutions in industries such as e-mobility, wind energy and food industry. It is a cornerstone for the FUCHS Group in terms of production and distribution of polyurea greases.

The production concept implemented in this plant will serve as the basis for other locations in the group as it sets global standards in grease technologies. Some of the benefits for our customers are: 

• Wide temperature range, which allows to reduce the number of needed greases for operation. 
• Designed for lifetime lubrication, relubrication will no longer be required. 
• Extended operating time, thanks to high mechanical stability even in extreme and long load conditions.
