FUCHS adjusts name to current company size
New mobility, digitalisation and sustainability. As a technology leader in these three global trends, the FUCHS Group decided to adapt its name. At the end of June, it shelved the name FUCHS PETROLUB SE, which no longer matched the expanded universe of more than 10,000 products and exponential solutions for lubricants and functional fluids. "The name got small," explains Paul Cezanne, Managing Director of the Portuguese subsidiary FUCHS Lubrificantes, and adds. "Now our Group is simply called FUCHS SE and that's it: The name encompasses, on the one hand, a pioneering history of more than 90 years and, on the other hand, the current focus on developing new high-tech lubrication solutions in response to current and future challenges regarding digitalisation, future mobility and sustainability."
The name reflects the global relevance of the FUCHS Group which, in 2022, reached a turnover of 3.4 billion with 34 factories and 56 subsidiaries in 50 countries. In Portugal, FUCHS has been operating for 34 years.
