NyoGel® products are translucent greases with a silicone thickener. This product line includes greases for use in electrical connectors, for motion control and for electrical conduction. Greases with Silicone thickener provide excellent temperature resistance and oxidation stability, as the thickener does not melt.

Silicone is hydrophobic and is ideal for use as a thickener in greases required to prevent water ingress or to provide excellent resistance to washing with water. Silicone is a very efficient thickener, requiring a smaller quantity (compared to other thickeners) to formulate a grease. As the grease is a mixture of thickener and base oil, there is more oil available for the lubrication function

Applications for connector greases

A thin layer of connector grease can improve the reliability of connections, prevent fretting wear and corrosion, reduce insertion force and extend the life of connectors. NyoGel® 760G is the industry standard grease for electrical connectors and is specified by leading OEMs for a wide range of industries. NyoGel®760G features good protection against fretting corrosion, dielectric insulation capability and is also compatible with common connector materials.

Products for these applications: In addition to NyoGel® 760G, also available is NyoGel® 782D-G4, which is a polyglycol-based grease that does not carbonise even under adverse conditions.

Motion control greases

Motion control greases make it possible to control speed and movement, provide a tactile sensation and reduce vibrations, noises and rattles. When applied to components such as switches, hinges and gears, these lubricants are the easiest way to help improve the quality of mechanical designs.
