Chain and Wire Rope Lubrication

Every application has its own specific challenges. For chains and wire ropes used in tough industrial conditions, the lubrication has to be of particularly high quality. Surprisingly, many companies don’t lubricate their wire ropes at all. But this can cause corrosion and wear, both at the core and on the surface, which can lead to various kinds of hazards. If you want to avoid wear and friction in links and cores, it’s also worth being aware that chains and wire ropes need to be cleaned correctly so as not to risk damage.
