Fuchs Mastyla Ukraina receives its second Climate Neutral Company Certificate
Sustainability is one of the undisputed priorities for FUCHS Group as well as one of the strategic pillars in its development strategy. We are making substantial efforts to decrease the impact of our operations on the climate and preserve the environment for future generations. Within of our carbon neutrality strategy we are continuously working on reducing the emissions from the operational activities of all FUCHS Group companies and offsetting the part of the so-called production related unavoidable emissions.
Starting from 2021 all non-producing FUCHS affiliates have been also included into the framework of actions aimed at neutralizing the general corporate carbon footprint (CCF) of FUCHS. And this year Fuchs Mastyla Ukraina receives the second Certificate issued by Fokus Zukunft confirming its CO2 neutrality status. This status is confirmed within the defined “gate-to-gate” scope, i. e. refers to compensation of the emissions generated exclusively through the operational activities inside the company. The offsetting of the greenhouse gas emissions of all FUCHS affiliates is carried out through the support of global climate protection projects by the parent company FUCHS PETROLUB SE.
It is important to note that by 2025 FUCHS intends to significantly expand its scope of neutrality by including the entire upstream supply chain and switching to a Cradle-to-Gate-scope. This requires extensive preparations throughout the industry and via associations to develop standards, and FUCHS is actively involved and a driver in this process.
