Description

LUBRODAL AL 100 is a stable emulsion concentrate which can be sprayed on to lubricate moulds in pressure die casting of aluminium, zinc and other non-ferrous metals. LUBRODAL AL 100 contains special additives which provide a high degree of thermal stability. It is easy to spread in a thin layer over the die casting mould. LUBRODAL AL 100 does not form any protruding substances or residues in or next to the moulds. The vents are not clogged. The casting surfaces are clean, shiny and can be surface-treated after careful cleaning of residues.

Application

LUBRODAL AL 100 is supplied in concentrate form and must be diluted with water prior to using. The mixture ratio depends on how difficult it is to produce the cast part, the temperature of the moulds and the casting cycle. The recommended ratio is 1:80 to 1:120. The optimum rate of dilution has to be determined in practice. LUBRODAL AL 100 can be applied by using hand spray guns, static and automatic spraying equipment. To achieve an effective, even coverage, use a spray with an adjustable nozzle and adjust the air-liquid ratio. We recommend the spraying equipment to be cleaned at regular intervals (once a week) by flushing through with water. The equipment should be cleaned in this way if it is going to stand idle for any period of time.
