STAFFS CYCLING FESTIVAL GIVEN SPONSORSHIP BOOST
Leading cycle lube manufacturer FUCHS Silkolene has thrown its weight behind one of the country’s most popular sportive series.
FUCHS Silkolene has been named as official cycle lubricant partner for RideStaffs, which holds four major sportive events around Staffordshire in March, April, July and September.
The season-opener Primavera event is at Sugnall Walled Garden on March 4. The Staffordshire Cycling Festival in Stafford on July 22nd attracts some of the country’s best cyclists, as well as thousands of spectators.
FUCHS Silkolene’s partnership with RideStaffs follows a successful two years of hosting the Tour of Potteries cycle event, which started and finished at the company’s headquarters in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
Joost van Genderen, Head of Silkolene, said: “We are proud to partner with RideStaffs for these four fantastic sportive events.
“This sponsorship represents a great opportunity for us to promote our new premium cycle range to keen cyclists across Staffordshire and beyond.
“We have had brilliant feedback from cyclists who are already using our products and we are excited about the future.”
The Primavera sportive is 41 miles, but there’s a 30-mile option for those who want something a little shorter. That is followed by Spring Forward in Uttoxeter on April 8, The Staffordshire Cycling Festival and finally a yet-to-be-confirmed September sportive.
RideStaffs organiser Paul Rowlands said: “We are delighted to have FUCHS Silkolene on board for this year’s RideStaffs series.
“We have an exciting schedule of sportives lined up, starting in just a couple of weeks with The Primavera, which is very nearly full. “RideStaffs has grown and flourished over the years.
We are expecting the crème de la crème of British cycling at our Stafford event, which will be fantastic exposure for FUCHS Silkolene and all of our other partners.”
The FUCHS Silkolene bicycle portfolio includes Wet, Dry and Everyday chain lubes as well as suspension fork oils, cleaners and greases.
