Dennis Racing at Donington Park
It's safe to say that Dennis has had better weekends.
Dennis set out for qualifying and was happy to find the car handling like it used to, pouring with confidence corner after corner, placing P3 in Class.
Dennis made a good race start gaining place against some of the top classed cars, getting stuck in and enjoying the first stint. All was going well with the Team having a good strategy to get us P2 in Class. The pit board was put out to stop but Dennis having suspected the car was starting to have an issue, missed the pit stop to confirm. This is where it all went wrong!
Not stopping on that lap put him outside of the pit stop window and consequently was issued with a 2 lap penalty. To make matters worse Dennis's fears were confirmed. On the extra lap he needed to decide if he was about to have an issue, the cars handling went from epic to terrifyingly uncontrollable in just a lap!
Just managing to fight the car back to the pit lane the team had little choice but retire from the race. Their fist DNF in a long time.
Issues aside, it was actually a good weekend.
