Redding at the treble in BSB

Be Wiser Ducati’s Scott Redding powered to the top of the British Superbike Championship standings with a hat-trick of wins at Donington.

Redding piloted his Be Wiser Ducati Panigale V4 R to top spot in all three races on a memorable weekend for the 26-year-old.

“The team have been mega and have given me a lot of confidence so I want to maintain this form now as best I can,” he said.

Team-mate Josh Brookes crashed out of race one on lap six but recovered to finish fourth and fifth in the weekend’s remaining outings.

Meanwhile, Quattro Plant JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Hector Barbera got to grips quickly with his ZX-10RR and finished race one in P6.

Glenn Irwin feels he is growing in confidence with his bike after coming home in P9, P23 and P14 while Smiths Racing BMW’s Peter Hickman climbed the ladder gradually, managing P10, P9 and P7.

Hickman said: “The potential of the bike is huge, we’re just not quite unlocking it all at the moment, but we’re moving in the right direction for sure.”

Elsewhere for Team Green Kawasaki, Chrissy Rouse has got his Morello Racing Kawasaki ZX-10RR dialled and took two podium finishes in the 100 mile Superstock 1000 race.

In the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship Harry Rowlings got a shocking start in the race but made up loads of places on the first couple of laps.

He was feeling good but in the second half of the race he suffered with really bad arm pump in both arms which made him drop back through the pack and he finished 20th with another PB lap time.

Back to the island for dozens of our sponsored riders

Big bike action is underway at this year’s Isle of Man TT. Good luck to all of the riders powered by FUCHS Silkolene.

Signed sealed and delivered for Sam

The University of Wales Trinity Saint DavidOrthrus Racing team had its first race weekend of the year at Cadwell Park in Thundersport GB.

The bike and engine performed flawlessly after the full rebuild and Sam Mousley got his two signatures required for his mountain course license.

In our first two races Sam finished 17th and 20th in the Elites, which was 10th and 11th in class.

With the signatures secured he went harder in the last race and finished 14th in the Elites and P5 in class.

Next stop the team is the Post TT races on June 8.

Points on the board for CV

Carl Vickers was back in action in Thundersport Golden Era Supersport & Steelsport at Cadwell Park.

Carl finished 10thin class in race one and ninth in race two before he lost his front end trying to avoid another fallen rider, resulting in a DNF in the next outing.

The last race of the weekend finished in 10th in class and more valuable points.

Disappointment for Gav

It was not a vintage weekend for Murray Motorsport at Foxhall.

After picking up some front suspension damage during the restart in heat one, Gavin crossed the line in about 15th from a P23 start.

Heat two resulted in a DNF after getting spun out.

Gavin crept into the top 10 in the 35-lap final with the team’s best result of the day.

The next event, round 14 at Aldershot on June 9, will bring a close to the 2019 World Championship Qualifying Campaign.

Myerscough College Motorsport

The motorsport students at Myerscough College Motorsport have had another busy weekend.

Despite bad conditions, Ryan Garside made it another solid championship extension at the head of the Thundersport GB Golden Era Steelsport series.

He’s looking forward to Mallory Park where, for the first time this year, he will racing on a track he has seen before.

There wasn’t such good news for Bart Lang and Sinclair Young, who faced retirement on the Pirelli International Rally

The Myerscough College & University Centre Motorsport team are preparing for the next round of the British Rally Championship next month, the Ypres Rally.

Ashleigh Morris on the rise

After a poor first race meeting of the season, Ashleigh has found her form and is rising through the pack. 3 Ladies Cup wins has seen her close the gap to Fiona Kindness to just 8 points. Ashleigh is confident that her good form will continue into the next round at Knockhill in June.
