Superb opener for FUCHS supported CA1 Sport
First to the competitive oche on the early morning of Saturday 11th March was the Fuchs-supported rally team at CA1 Sport under the leadership of Martin Wilkinson with three drivers taking part in the Malcolm Wilson Rally, part of the BTRDA Gravel Rally Championship. David Bogie with co-driver Kevin Rae showed driving maturity with a controlled and fuss-free drive to win the event, with new driver Jamie Anderson (with Andrew Roughead in the co-driving seat) finishing 7th overall, and Tom Preston taking a fine 12th. Martin reported ‘no fuss’ on the day, and was pleased with his team’s performance, given the quality of the 138-car entry.
Martin runs Fuchs Titan Race products in all the CA1 Sport cars.
Also taking part on the same event was long-time Fuchs Lubricants user Ian Joel in his immaculate Ford Escort Cosworth. Together with co-driver Graeme Wood, Ian had a largely drama-free rally with consistent and controlled driving on some foggy and unforgiving territory on the Cumbrian fells, to such good effect that they ended the day 13th place, and taking 2nd in Class B12 Ian and Graeme also picked up the KLMC Shield for highest placed Kirby Lonsdale Motor Club members, and were awarded the Jack Neal Trophy for Best Presented Car.
Ian uses Pro S 10w/60 in the Cosworth engine, and Titan Sintopoid LS 75w/140 in the transmission.
