Dynavolt Triumph confident ahead of Donington Park
FUCHS SILKOLENE powered Dynavolt Triumph head to Donington Park and round five of the 2021 Quattro Group British Supersport Championship this weekend with both riders looking to capitalise on the team’s recent run of success.
The championship is hotting up with Dynavolt Triumph’s Kyle Smith now lying third in the overall rider standings following his double podium including victory at Thruxton two weeks ago. Despite missing the one-day national track official test in June due to injury, the Spain-based Brit is keen to take the podium fight to a circuit he is familiar with from the World Supersport championship.
Kyle Smith: “I’m really keen to get back at it to a track I know a little and, after the good results in the last race, I am feeling confident.”
Following a confidence-boosting season best finish last time out at Thruxton, teammate Brandon Paasch is aiming to take it one step further at the Leicestershire circuit. Paasch is certain to profit from the successful pre-season test enjoyed at the 1.9-mile track when he was just 0.7s off the fastest time.
Brandon Paasch: “I’m super stoked to get to Donington, especially coming off of our best result of the season! Can’t wait to get back to work with the team and keep improving!”
Dynavolt Triumph Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “Coming off the back of a very successful Thruxton meeting where Kyle did a fantastic job having never been there. He was dominant in Sunday’s race, he had the potential to win both races if he’d not run on going into the complex in the Saturday race. Also a great ride by Brandon for his best result in fourth. So we have to say we go to Donington in confident mood. It’s the national circuit which is fast and flowing. It is the one circuit that Kyle does know, apart from two corners and, if he can learn the whole of Thruxton in a very short time I think he can learn two corners so it should be good for us and we should be able to start in a very good way. We have got to keep our focus, Thruxton was our most successful weekend in the respect that both riders were up there and that is what we want at Donington Park and for the rest of the season. Can’t wait to see everyone there.”
