FUCHS UK's Andy Coulson Completes Epic Charity Motorcycle Ride
FUCHS UK is proud to announce that Andy Coulson, Key Account Manager for Steel & Wire Rope, has successfully completed his ambitious charity motorcycle ride to the tip of Europe, Nordkapp, raising an impressive £1600 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Embarking on a journey that spanned 4,800 miles, Andy rode from Sheffield to Nordkapp, crossing the Arctic Circle and reaching the Cape at 71 degrees North within just 107 hours. His adventure took him through the stunning landscapes of Scandinavia, where he experienced everything from the breathtaking roads north of the Arctic Circle to the welcoming hospitality of the Sami people in Lapland. For context, the distance covered by Andy is equivalent to riding from the UK to the Palm Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai—an astonishing feat!
Reflecting on his journey, Andy described it as "a trip of a lifetime." He shared, "Scandinavia is an amazing place, and everyone should go at least once in their life! The highlights for me were anything North of the Arctic Circle. Amazing roads and scenery and very few signs of civilization. Probably the closest to the UK where you can find real wilderness."
Despite facing brutal weather conditions in Norway, Andy successfully visited key locations like Geiranger and the Atlantic Highway, further adding to the excitement and challenges of his journey.
Andy’s journey, dubbed "Two Wheels, One Idiot," was not just about adventure but also about making a difference. With the support of friends, family, and colleagues, he managed to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to his heart.
Everyone at FUCHS UK extends their heartfelt congratulations to Andy for this incredible achievement and his dedication to supporting Macmillan Cancer Support.
