Motorsport Round Up: Fantastic Freddie

20.12.2017 - 12:00

Fantastic Freddie Housley has been crowned the Cumbria Kart Club Bambino Champion.

FUCHS Silkolene’s youngest ambassador scooped the title after the final round of the championship was called off due to the snow.

The success is well deserved after an excellent season and many hours of travelling.

Freddie was also Vice British Champion and fourth in the BKC National Championship this year.

He will now enjoy a well-earned rest until after Christmas when he will start testing with his ZIP Works team in Cadet Karts, where he will be racing children up to 12-year-old.

Meanwhile, Silkolene-backed powerboat racer Matthew Palfreyman enjoyed his first F1 experience.

Palreyman clocked a best tour of 48.17sec in his Dragon before eventually being forced was forced to withdraw from the F1H2o Abu Dhabi GP when the boat suffered delamination.

The team managed to fix the boat in time for the Grand Prix of Sharjah last week but unfortunately Palfreyman was forced to retire after five laps.

The Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club will hold its 2017 Championship awards night at Casa Hotel in Chesterfield on Saturday February 3.

Awards will be issued during the evening for the 2017 MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the FUCHS LUBRICANTS RACRMC Historic Asphalt Rally Championship and those crews who were unable to join the 2017 Roger Albert Clark Rally presentation.

Slow roasted pork, salmon and vegetarian lasagne will be served on what promises to be a cracking evening.

Tickets are £45 and are available from Nicola Heppenstall email nicola@historicrallying.org

A very Merry Christmas to all of our sponsored riders and racers.
