Buchan Takes Double Podium at Oulton

Double podium finisher Danny Buchan has hailed his strongest start ever to a Bennetts British Superbike season and hopes he can keep the ball rolling for the rest of 2019.

The FUCHS Silkolene backed FS-3 Kawasaki rider battled through the leading pack in race one to come from sixth to the final rostrum spot, before a nearly identical charge in race two this afternoon as he powered from fifth up to another third.

But Buchan has also admitted he didn’t have the speed to run with the pair of dominant Ducatis, the double-winning Be Wiser Ducati of Josh Brookes and runner-up Tommy Bridewell on the Oxford Ducati.

“I’ve been at the front most of the weekend, but qualifying didn’t go to plan for me,” he said. “I put myself in sixth, which made my life hard because I had a few guys to get through before I got to Josh and Tommy, and they just checked out
