FUCHS (UK) wins British Steel Supplier Recognition Awards 2018
As British Steel recognise that many of their suppliers are committed to delivering profitable and innovative solutions, and to show their thanks and appreciation, they have introduced a recognition awards to highlight the vital contributions made.
FUCHS Lubricants (UK) were pleased to be invited to submit an entry.
A ‘Collaboration Category’ designed for suppliers who have built a strong, mutually-beneficially relationship with British Steel, and who have gone above and beyond to meet their needs, seemed to be an obvious choice for FUCHS.
To be a winner of the award, suppliers were required to demonstrate how collaborative efforts had yielded a tangible benefit for both parties with real evidence of success in the form of improved efficiencies, innovative new approaches, new product development, reduced cost, reduced risk etc.
At the first Supplier Awards held at British Steel in Scunthorpe, FUCHS were delighted to be announced as not only the winner of the Best Overall Collaboration Award, but also the winner of the Overall Best Supplier for the year to March 2018.
After the event, Richard Halhead said ‘This award confirms that by working together and focussing on improvements there is no lubricant company in the UK who can do it better! So, congratulations to all...’
Chris Morris (FUCHS Key Account Manager – Steel) said: “It’s a great honour to have received two awards from British Steel – a company we’re extremely proud to work with.
