FUCHS UK celebrates NAW2024
FUCHS UK took part in National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), an annual event which this year took place between 5 to 11 February 2024. The 17th annual event celebrated the achievements of apprentices around the country and the positive impact they make to communities, businesses, and the wider economy, as well as showcasing apprenticeship employers, training providers, assessment organisations, colleges and universities.
This year, the NAW theme was "Skills For Life" - focusing on encouraging apprentices and providers to consider how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to develop a workforce with future ready skills.
At FUCHS UK, our apprenticeship programs are part of our succession planning process to ensure we have the right people, experienced and educated to be part of the FUCHS family for the future, with programs across all disciplines including IT, Finance, Sales, Chemistry, Manufacturing, Business Administration and Distribution.
Head of HR, Susanne McClurg, said: "We are delighted to take the opportunity of National Apprenticeship Week to celebrate our apprentice's achievements. To give recognition to those who have already successfully completed their apprenticeship programs and who are now contributing to the business, to pass on our congratulations to the class of 2022/23 who have successfully passed their qualifications, and to wish good luck to those who are just starting out.
This is a significant milestone in our people’s professional journey, their dedication has not gone unnoticed, and it is with great pride that we recognize their dedication, hard work, and achievement."
In addition to studying to complete an apprenticeship qualification, our apprentices are also given a structured 12-month in-house training plan as well as the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals to aid in their development here at FUCHS.
