Senior Managers from the FUCHS Lubricants UK team assembled in Birmingham on 27th April to focus on leadership principles within FUCHS. Hosted by Richard Halhead, the group of 20 colleagues, each presented short pre-prepared presentations focussing on leadership skills, methods and values and how guidelines could apply within the FUCHS company.

Volkswagen Group UK has announced a major new supplier partnership with Fuchs Lubricants (UK) plc. The agreement follows an exhaustive tender process and sees Fuchs replace Castrol as the lubricants supplier for Trade Parts Specialists’ (TPS) Quantum range of oils.

FUCHS UK has invested in brand new contemporary 21st century offices at its headquarters in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, continuing the Group’s policy of investing in local facilities whilst growing its global presence. Today, FUCHS Chairman & CEO, Stefan Fuchs declared the new build officially open.

The glass industry lubricant portfolio VITROLIS is controlled and managed by Dr Iwona Szkoda-Giannaki in the “Technical Centre of Excellence for Glass Industry Lubricants” based at FUCHS UK. It is the hub for new product development, technical support service and the development and control of quality assurance and manufacturing systems and procedures associated with all FUCHS glass industry products.

At their request, the Northwest Group of the Institute of the Motor Industry recently visited FUCHS UK for a factory tour and technical presentation by Andy Brown (UK Technical Manager), the subject was ‘Principals of Lubrication’.

Sampling oil correctly and regularly can help highlight potential problems in commercial vehicles before they become serious, said a technical expert from a leading lubricant manufacturer.

Andy Brown, of FUCHS LUBRICANTS, said sampling can help reduce costs by unearthing issues with a vehicle before it breaks down completely, therefore minimising downtime. But Andy warned that oil samples must be taken correctly in order to produce the most accurate results.
