Zoé and Cameron Fly FUCHS Lubricants Flag Abroad
The weekend 3 and 4 March saw the young Cameron Durow taking the opportunity to fly both the South African and FUCHS Lubricants flags in an invitational motocross race in Onk Boekel, Netherlands.
In the training round, Durow secured a 6th position finish. In moto 1, the first few laps were difficult for him to find a rhythm, but he finished in 8th place. In moto 2, Durow started well and unfortunately an incident saw him falling out of the top 10 to 14th where he stayed to the end of the race. He was given a 9th position overall.
“Racing abroad was a good experience for me. Using the products from FUCHS Lubricants under those cold conditions proved to be a good choice for me,” said Durow.
Zoé Bosch visited neighbouring Zimbabwe where she competed in both the Zimbabwean Superbike Championship as well as the Megellis 250 Cup at the Sables Dragpro Zimbabwe Donnybrook Raceway.
Zoé's primary focus was the Zimbabwean National Superbike Championship where, in the qualifying session she took 4th position on the grid. Zoe raced well, finishing 4th again in both the first and second races.
She also entered the Megelli 250 Cup. In the qualifying round, she finished in 2nd and proved to be a force to be reckon with, finishing second in both race 1 and 2. To end the day, it is customary in Zimbabwe to have a handicap race. Again, Zoé put on her best performance to finish 4th.
“It was a good race ing in Zimbabwe, the experience I gained is unmeasured and I’m looking forward to more outings to this raceway. The sponsorship from FUCHS Lubricants is really making racing worthwhile,” said Zoé Bosch.
