MAD Racing: Round 3 of the F400 Kart Endurance Series

MAD Racing, sponsored by FUCHS Lubricants, competed in round three of the F400 Kart endurance series. Dewald Brummer and Bevan Williams claimed the fastest lap time in the qualifying round.  

In Heat 1: The 75-minute race saw MAD Racing take victory with a one lap margin over their closest competitor.

In Heat 2: Unfortunately, the team was involved in a collision in turn one, which resulted in a broken rim forcing them out of the race.

The final 120-minute heat, Team MAD Racing started at the back in position 29. The team’s skill, experience and prowess came to play as the team took victory with a two-lap lead over their competitors.

“Using FUCHS Lubricants products on our karts has proven to be one of the driving forces that continues to make us victorious,” said Deon Brummer, team manager.

Hud Racing E-14 Northern Regions Round 3 - Lichtenburg 250 Race

The 2018 Northern Regions Cross Country race (round 3) was held in Lichtenburg, Northwest Province. The HUD Racing Team had to bring forward the maintenance and repairs to their Nissan for the race weekend.

The pit area was some 25 kilometers out of town at the Lichtenburg 4x4 Club house. All the FUCHS fluids were checked as is the routine.

The FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored HUD Racing Team E14 duo of Rod Cook (driver) and Jaco Schutte (navigator) started in 7th position in the qualifying race. The strategy was to have a clean run and be in the top 10. However, the team finished in 12th position for the start of the main race.

In the main race, within 20km from the start, the team stuck their task of passing their opposition and by the end of the race, they won Class E and were 2nd in the Production Vehicle Category.

Round 4 of the Northern Region Cross Country Series takes place in Kameel on the 26th May.

Lyle Ramsay Round 3, 2018 MotorMart VW Challenge

FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored Lyle Ramsay Racing finished in position 4 the qualifying race of the MotorMart VW Challenge race at the Killarney International Raceway.

Race 1: Unfortunately, a mechanical failure at the start of the race resulted in Lyle Ramsay being forced out of the race.

Race 2: The team had ample time to work on the car before the start of race 2. As the lights turned green, Lyle knew it was a ‘do your best or fall down the ranks’ race for him. He pulled a stunning race to finish in second position.

Regan Wasmuth

Pietermaritzburg was abuzz as the Regionals took place where Regan Wasmuth, sponsored by FUCHS Lubricants, was in action. In race 1: Regan encountered some mechanical problems with the bike, but that didn’t stop him from continuing. In races 2 and 3, his determination and love for racing saw him finish 4th respectively.
