2018 SA Motocross Nationals at Terra Topia
Round 4 of the 2018 SA Motocross Nationals at Terra Topia on Saturday 7 July proved to be a demanding race testing FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored riders’ physical and mental fitness.
FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored rider, Cameron Durow, who had missed round 2 and 3 due to international events was back and prepared to face round 4 of SA Mx Nationals in the 125cc High School Class.
In the training session Cameron took the lead in the race, setting the fastest time. This gave him first position for both motos.
Moto 1: Cameron got a good start and despite falling back to 2nd position, he managed to regain his grip and soon took the lead again to win the race.
Moto 2: Again, Cameron was in the top 3 and by the end of the 1st lap he managed to pull a comfortable gap ahead of his competitors to the end to win the moto again, making it a
double win for the day.
Regan Wasmuth – The FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored rider started well in Round 4 of the 2018 South African National Championship. In the practice race he finished in 6th position.
Moto1: Regan started well, but experienced mechanical problems which saw him lose a few positions to finish in 8th position.
Moto 2: With the mechanical problems fixed, Wasmuth started well and stayed with his competitors to finish the race in 4th position. He was given 6th position overall for the day.
