Thrilling Two Weekends of Racing For FUCHS Lubricants Backed Teams
Team Truggy – On the weekend of 11 August, Team Truggy competed in a 200 km off-road event at Doornbult in North West. The team participated in both the Regional and Club events. A total of 40 vehicles were on the grid, with Team Truggy 18th on the grid.
The team finished 1st in class, and 4th overall for the day. The next competition will be on Saturday 25 August at the ARRO special stage rally in Cullinan, Bronkhorstpruit.
“After experiencing high temperatures in the engine and gearbox. We upgraded the coolers and used FUCHS Lubricants oil which has since resolved these issues,” said Giel Nel, team manager and driver.
Jayden Ashwell - On the 11th of August Jayden Ashwell raced in Cape Town in the South African motocross nationals. He finished 4th overall which now sees him in 5th position in the overall Championship standings.
Ashwell’s second outing was on Saturday 18th August as he travelled to Kitwe, Zambia, to compete in the MXOAN. He had the quickest time in practice and finished 2nd overall in the MX1 class.
Regan Wasmuth - Wasmuth got off to a good start in Round 5 of the 2018 South African National Championship held in Cape Town. In the practice he qualified in 5th position on the grid.
Race 1: Wasmuth started in the lead but lost a few positions to his competitors and finished in 4th position.
Race 2: Wasmuth gave it his all and finished in 4th position, giving him 4th position overall for the day.
