HUD Racing:  Dave Hud and Gerhard Schutte in their S14 had a field day of racing as they battled the winds at Harrismith during the Harrismith400. The team’s many late nights preparation didn’t go unnoticed as they were rewarded with a podium finish.

Lance Isaacs Racing: Harry Timmerman rocked at Phakisa Freeway with a double second-position podium finish. He has an impressive performance in his debut season in the Sub10 Superbikes and Bridgestone Challenge and posted the fastest lap of the weekend.

Lyle Ramsay: Monroe Racing's Lyle Ramsay Racing again delivered a sound performance at the Phakisa Freeway during Round 6 of the 2018 MotorMart VW Challenge. Despite missing out on a podium finish, the team gained a lot more technical and setup knowledge throughout the weekend with Ramsay getting even closer to consistent front-running pace in this very competitive category.

Qualifying: Ramsay topped the timesheets during the early stages.

Race 1: Ramsay made a good start to the race, however he was unhappy with the tyre set-up which saw him not being able to put in his best performance, finishing the race in fourth position.

Race 2: Despite changing to his original tyres, Ramsay still experienced difficulty adjusting to the circuit and he ended the race in sixth position. The penultimate round of the 2018 MotorMart VW Challenge will see Ramsay in action at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday, 20 October.

AM Racing: Round 6 of the Autobarn Superhatch series also formed part of the annual 200km Endurance race at Phakisa raceway. The race saw some sports and saloons cars racing and the field was expected to have over 50 competitors in the same race.

Qualifying: Alex Marques put in two quick laps which saw him finish 5th in-class and 30th overall out of 55 cars.

Endurance Race: After a few tussles in lap 1 - all the cars seemed to make it through without any major contact. Marques was pushing hard, gaining positions and was up to 4th place by the 16th lap, before the mandatory pit stop when he experienced a mechanical fault. A few laps later the race was stopped due to darkness. In the end, the team took 4th place in-class for the race and 3rd in the performance of index results.

The next race for the team at Zwartkops Raceway on the 13th of October.
