As the drive to increased fuel efficiency and lower emissions continues, automatic transmissions continue to evolve with each having their own unique set of performance needs. In line with this, FUCHS Lubricants has introduced three new TITAN ATFs products for ZF automatic transmissions.

“Due to the separate technical requirements of each transmission, it is essential that the correct automatic transmission fluid (ATF) is specified to ensure the transmission performs to its potential, providing efficient and reliable operation throughout its lifetime. This applies to automatic transmissions of all ages, whether straight off the product line or those in operation for several years,” says Fatima Moolla, Product Manager Automotive, FUCHS Lubricants SA.

ZF is a major supplier of driveline and chassis technology. Its automatic transmissions are used by a significant number of OEMs across the globe. As a result, FUCHS has developed three specially optimised ATFs, designed to meet the specific demands of the latest and older-generation ZF automatic transmissions: TITAN ATF 6009, TITAN ATF 6008 and TITAN ATF 6006.

TITAN ATF 6009

TITAN ATF 6009 is suitable for use with ZF 8- and 9-speed automatic transmissions in BMW 8-speed automatic transmissions where the use of ATF 3+ is recommended as well as HONDA 9-speed automatic transmissions where the use of ATF-Type 3.1 is recommended.

The lubricant provides the benefits of ultimate anti-shudder performance ensuring a smoother driving experience, superior wear protection, improved friction control, excellent shear stability and oxidation performance. It is also supported by real-world testing in a range of passenger vehicles with nearly one million kilometers driving.

TITAN ATF 6008

TITAN ATF 6008 is suitable for use with ZF 6- and 8-speed automatic transmissions in specified BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover and Chrysler 8-speed transmissions as well as specified VW Group 6 and 8-speed automatic transmissions.

It provides the benefit of improved friction control providing excellent shifting performance, strong anti-shudder performance, robust oxidation performance and excellent wear protection. It has been proven in a range of passenger vehicles through real-world testing.

TITAN ATF 6006

TITAN ATF 6006 is suitable for use with ZF 6-speed automatic transmissions in specified Bentley, BMW, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, Maserati and VW Group automatic transmissions. It provides the benefits of good friction control properties providing strong shifting performance, excellent durability and oxidation control, strong shear stability and delivers long oil life with proven performance.
