Giel Nel, driver and owner of Team Truggy, has over 32 years experience in off-road and rally racing. In all the years in the motorsport world, the team has had the opportunity to do maintenance, repairs, welding and reconditioning of components on the car in the 170-square meter workshop.

“Team Truggy participates in stage rallies at ARRO under the competition nr.406. We also do off-road racing at WUMSA under our competition nr.47 and have an 80 percent race finishing rate. In all races we have finished in the top three in our class,” says Mr Nel, team driver and manager.

“With the team being involved in special stage rallies, it means we are required to race at high speeds at an average of three-to-four hours non-stop under different weather conditions and terrain. “Our gearbox oil of choice is the TITAN SUPERGEAR SAE 85W-140 which is an American /Mendeola 4 speed gearbox oil. The super high-performance gear oil is based on MC-synthesis, suitable for extended oil change intervals.”
