The Monroe Racing team took to Killarney International raceway, Cape Town, where they participated in the Western Cape regional classes running in conjunction with the 2017 SuperGP Champions Trophy opening round on Saturday, March 25.

The team’s regular rider duo of Savannah Woodward and CJ Hackart were joined by guest rider Luca Coccioni who all competed in the 600cc class.

Luco Coccioni’s inclusion in the team was announced a week prior to the Cape Town outing following a successful testing session with the team. He finished in sixth place in both his races, giving him an overall sixth place in the regional class standings.

Savannah Woodward had a tough time with the wind, she finished in seventh place in both her races. C J Hackart finished fourth in the regional class in both races of the day. The first race included four starts, three red-flags cutting the race down to eight laps.
