Marc Gleed’s racing career in the Inflatables Power Boat Racing’s motorsport began when he was ten years in Go Karting Racing. From there he moved to main circuit racing which saw him participate in various motorsport series including the British Formula Ford Winter Series in Europe and the Toyota Motorsport in the National Group N series. 

In 2003, Gleed made a switch from Motorsport to Inflatable Power Boat racing and to date he has competed in eight Trans Agulhas events and numerous National and Regional Championships. His accolades in the sport include winning regional championships, finishing second in the world Trans Agulhas event (the toughest inflatable boat race in the world), finishing 2nd overall in the National Championships and receiving Regional colours.
