Auto Complete: Retro Racing Club Prize Giving

The Auto Complete Racing Team were big winners as they won 1st in class, 1st overall, 1st Index of Performance, Best Presented Race Car and Most Enthusiastic Competitor at the Retro Racing Club prize giving evening. The team made up of driver Rory Nositer and pit crew Conrad de Haas and Richard Grant race the 1978 Mini Clubman full race spec in the pre-1980 historic category under the KZN Road Racing Club. The team says is looking forward to the 2019 race season which officially starts on 9 March at Dezzi Raceway, Kwa Zulu Natal.

Cameron Durow: Round 1 of the South African National Motocross

Round 1 of the South African National Motocross race was held in Port Elizabeth on 23rd February. Durow rode in the Mx2 250cc and the 125 cc Class. 

Practice: In the Mx2 Class Durow rode 3 fast laps which saw him finishing 4th. In the 125cc Class he set the fastest time giving him 1st position going into Moto 1. 
Moto 1: Mx2: Durow set his eyes on winning and by half way he had a 20 second gap on his competitors earning him 1st position finish for the race. In the 125cc Class he finished 2nd. 
Moto 2: Mx2: Cameron finished 2nd which gave him a second overall position. In the 125cc Class, he showed his dominance by taking the lead from start to finish, making him overall winner for the day. 

Arrow Yamaha M2: Round 1 of the 2019 Thundercat National Championships

The 1st round of the Thundercat National Championships took place in Port Elizabeth over the weekend of 16 & 17 February 2019.

Team Arrow Yamaha M2 racing spent a few days prior to the race testing their boat at the North End Lake where the flat-water circuit racing would take place in the modified class.

Race Day 1: The modified class had a full field of 12 boats on the start line for each of the surf heats with extremely close racing throughout the field. Team Arrow Yamaha Racing finished in 2nd position in all of the 3 heats and narrowly missed on a win in the final.

Race day 2: 32 teams lined up at the North End Lake for another day of racing. In heat 1, Team Arrow Yamaha Racing started in 2nd position and during the race unfortunately broke a accelerator cam which saw them loose a few position finishing in 8th position.

An unfortunate accident took place in another race which saw racing cancelled for the day. “All in all, Team Arrow Yamaha M2’s Infanta race boat performed well. Thanks FUCHS Lubricants for the support received. These premier products are instrumental in our team’s achievements,” said Marc Gleed, team manager. Round two of the National Championships takes place in Langebaan on the 30th and 31st March.

Regan Wasmuth: Round 1 of the South African National motocross

Coming from a three-month injury, Wasmuth faced Round 1 of the South African Motocross Nationals. In the practice race he qualified in 10th position on his debut in the Mx2 class.

Moto 1: Wamuth had an unfortunate incident which saw him fall to the back of the race. He put up some fight and finished in 17th position. In Moto 2 he finished 16th.
