FUCHS Lubricants Sponsors 12th Predator Boat Fishing World Championships
FUCHS Lubricants is proud to be the sponsor of the 12th Predator Boat Fishing World Championships, one of the legs of the Fishing World Games hosted in South Africa from the 9 -13 February 2019 at Loskop Dam in Mpumalanga.
A total of 16 teams participated representing including countries: Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Italy, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Namibia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, the US and South Africa.
FUCHS Lubricants sponsored engine oil for the boats used by the South African Artificial Lure Angling Association during the tournament. A total of 42 bass boats were used for the competition with well qualified skippers. The boats were all well equipped with outboards ranging from 115hp to 300hp, fish finders and trolling motors. FUCHS Lubricants TITAN Marine TC-W3 oil was used in the boats to ensure they were in good working order. The ultra-high-performance engine lubricant for Marine 2-stroke petrol engines, is suited for all outboard and personal watercraft engines, and meets the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) requirements.
The oil ensures optimum performance and engine protection over the entire engine lifetime by preventing spark-plug fouling and deposits in both the combustion chamber and exhaust gas after-treatment system.
Fishing: The judging criteria for teams to win was made up of a team catching a specific fish species and minimum sizes of each species caught which was Barbel 50cm, Silver catfish (Makriel) 25cm, Bass 30cm, Yellow fish 30cm, Papermouth 30cm, Blue Kurper 25cm and Redbreast Kurper 20cm.
Winning teams: Most teams game plan was to go for a numbers game. This saw the winning teams catching Makriel and Bass for example Czech Republic caught more than 180 Makriel during the two competition days. Overall the winning countries were in 1st place Czech Republic, 2nd Hungary, 3rd Namibia, 4th Romania and 5th South Africa.
